We pray that all of you had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed new year. Life continues to amaze us here: the needs, the blessings, the people. Every moment seems to be a defining moment. Every day we are visiting people in the village, caring for the sick and/or bringing food, medicine or clothes to someone. Every day new people come into our lives and God gives us the privilege of being his hands and heart.

Right now our mission is involved daily, or almost daily, in providing for 73 people in La Ermita. Five people are employed by the mission and they support, including themselves, 26 family members. We provide food every week for 17 people, soon to be 18 as one is pregnant. We also provide clothes and medical care and medicine as well as other things for these people. There are 29 other people, soon to be 30 as one is pregnant, for whom we provide some sort of regular care outside of weekly food or jobs. It could be monitoring health conditions, monitoring family situations, as in our domestic violence family, providing part time work or food here and there, helping the children go to school or other things as God leads us.
