PACK:
- Be
sure to pack a day's change of clothes in your carry on
in the event your luggage is lost or delayed.
- Be
sure to pack all of your money, passport, papers for Gracie, and important
papers on your person or carry on.
- Bring
any medications you might need while at the mission in current,
dated and labeled bottles with your name on it. Do not put
them in your luggage, pack in your carry on in the event
your luggage is lost or delayed.
- If
you can't do without it while you're here, put it in your
carryon.
- Note:
if you're planning a VBS with lots of children, bring everything
you need. And if you're going to hand out multiple items, bring bags to make goody bags. These children
have been so deprived, they will push and shove and mob
you, fearing
they won't get anything. The quicker and more fair you can
pass things out the better. Also, don't bring candy, bring
nutritious items like granola bars, peanut butter crackers,
fruit rollups, etc.
- Make
a list of everything in your checked luggage and in your
carry on bag. Carry this with your passport.
- Do
not wrap presents or seal boxes. Customs agents in U.S. or
Honduras might want to open them to inspect them.
