The church
is the most recent building constructed at the mission.
In the past, church services were held in the yard and
under a tent that was donated by brother Ricky Ryals.
The church's goal is to win souls for Christ and disciple
his followers.
We need to finish building this church
so we can begin services as soon as possible. Our goal
is to open the church by Oct. 9, 2005. The people
in the neighboring community are excited. Almost 90 people from the village gave their lives to the Lord when a mission
group from Alabama came in July 2004. The harvest is plenty.
Help us meet their spiritual needs.
Church
Planting: In the
future, Christ Outreach Ministries plans to establish
nondenominational churches throughout Honduras. One church building
costs between $7,000 and $10,000 to build. If you, or your local church, would like to
help to build and finance a church, then let us know.
We are going to need a lot of help to carry out God's
plans to evangelize and meet the needs of the people
of Honduras.
Discipleship:
We also
will hold pastor
conferences and open a Bible Training school, where we can
raise up pastors and leaders and provide resources and supplies
for them.
Men's Programs: We
also plan to have programs for the men in the community
to teach them to be the sons of God they have been called
to be. By discipling the men, the Lord can help to keep
families intact and fight social problems of abandonment,
abuse and addiction. We hope to begin these programs
in the spring of 2006.
Women's
Programs: We also endeavor to provide provide programs
for the women in our community and hope to have our
first women's conference during the spring of 2006. The
women are the hearts of the home. We need to strengthen
them, and that in turn will strengthen the family.
Children
and Youth Programs: Our vision is also to reach
the youth. Beginning in November 2005, we aspire to
hold Saturday morning fellowship time for the children
in the community with praise and worship and presentation
of appropriate videos. The children are our future.
