Visitors

We had lots of visitors and traveling during March.  Our two presidents, William Borden and Danny Watkins, visited us from March 1-6. They helped us get some construction done on the church and bought us 100 chairs. They had the opportunity to meet a lot of the people we work with and to see the families we take care of.

Left, Danny and William and Policia Chavarria and Seargento Carrillo with the widow Sylvia and Cynthia and her son Noel.

Sylvia's husband is a police officer and their son Noel is very sick. The mission has helped them with medicines and money to go to the hospital in Tegucigalpa. Noel needs surgery and is going to be on the Honduras telethon tomorrow, April 18. Above right, Danny and William hold the twins, Abigail and Samuel, who are growing strong.

William and Danny also had the chance to visit with the pastors who attend the Bible College every Monday.

They came for a special luncheon on Saturday during their visit.

Lee is very excited about the progress of the pastors in the Bible College. They just took their mid-term exams for their second of five semesters.

Then we had a couple days of rest after Danny and William returned to the states on March 6. Gracie's mother, Karen Bland, and her step-father, Robert Bland, from Abilene, Texas, came for a visit on March 9 and stayed for a full week.

Gracie's mom was thrilled with the giant
lemons and  made lemonade every day.

Gracie's mom tried out the "Honduran bathtub", a 31 gallon Rubbermaid container and decided she'd stick with cold showers.

They were coming to visit, have a vacation and see what the mission and its work was all about. It was a nice visit.

They got to visit our families and deliver food and help with some other projects.

We also had the chance to go to the Valley of Angels and take a day off to rest and shop. Left is Gracie's mom and stepfather at lunch in the Valley of Angels.
