On-Going
Expenses
Support the local
church, pastor "La Ermita":
- You
can provide finances to support the pastor and his
family.
- You
can provide Spanish Bibles and Christian literature,
or the funds to purchase them.
- You
can provide musical instruments and equipment for
the church. Right now we don't have much. Altar clothes,
candle sticks, offering plates, banners and any other church
supplies would be greatly appreciated. A good idea is to
take a look around your church (especially in the closets)
and see if there are any items the church is no longer using.

Bible
School "La
Ermita":
- Each
student's tuition is $5.00 per trimester for five
trimesters, totaling $25.00 for tuition. Then we need to
cover the costs of printing their workbooks, $20.00 and
then when they finish the two-year program, they will receive
a diploma and that costs $11.00. So, the cost per student
is $56.00 for all the classes, supplies and diploma.
Support
Evangelism "La Ermita":
- You
can provide evangelistic tools such as pamphlets
and Bibles in Spanish. And cover costs for travel into the
mountains surrounding the mission and to bring pastors to
our missions for intensive trainings.
Construction
"La
Ermita":
- Church:
We still need to finish the church. It needs a concrete
floor, windows and doors, as well as pews. We need about
$1,000 to finish it.
- Fence:
We need to build
a fence around the church. We need $500 to do that project.
- Ministry
Building 2: This is where Rosa and her children live.
It's about completely finished, but we need to build in
a mission dorm room.
- Aquaponics:
In October, we will be building our aquaponics system to
start growing fish to feed our children's home, mission
and community needs. We need $2000-$2500 for this project.
- Upgrades/Maintenance:
Then there's the future money needed to cover any upgrades
or maintenance on the property.
Children's
Home "Children's Home":
- There
are currently 23 children in Jimmy Hughes' children's home,
and some additional children are housed at the rehab. We
need sponsors to help cover the care of these children.
It costs about $6,000 a month for their food, clothing,
school supplies, medical care and to pay the staff who cares for them.
- Come
Christmas time, consider donating money for gifts
for the children. Christmas of 2004 was the first Christmas
these children ever celebrated and we thank all the sponsors
who helped make that happen.
Ministry
Operating Expenses "La
Ermita":
- Help
cover electricity and satellite costs
- Salary
costs for Rosa (mission), Don Rufino (animals) and Chico
and Santo (farm and construction)
- Help
cover vehicle repair/maintenance
- Finances
to cover travel expenses between Honduras and the U.S. for
the pastor and his family from time to time.
