Projects done July-August 2005

1. - Security:

The first project we undertook after arriving at the mission June 29, 2005, was to have our fence built to provide security for the mission. Because of the poverty of the people, anything that isn't locked up and guarded is stolen. In order to help the people, we must protect the assets of the ministry.

The mission, above, prior to security.

The first line of security is fencing. We built a 2-meter high chainlink fence around the compound, including the barnyard, chicken house and garden with gates. The second line of security is watchdogs. We've been raising two puppies and are training them.

The third line of security is lighting. While we do have electric outdoor lights, we also need solar powered lights for two reasons. One, to cut down on electric costs and, two, in the event the power goes out (which it does frequently), we will still have outdoor security lighting. We are believing God for the finances for solar security lights.
